Twin Cities Shopping
No "Shopping List" of shopping areas in Minneapolis
would be complete without The Mall of America located in the Minneapolis
suburb of Bloomington, a city in its own right, just southwest of Minneapolis.
This colossal shopping center under one roof holds typical American mall
merchants as well as a plethora of unique shops. All four floors are anchored
at the four corners by four major American retailers: NORDSTROM, MACY's,
BLOOMINGDALE'S, and SEARS. Making it much more interesting than many malls,
besides its grand size, is the scope of its family-based activities and
amusement areas.
One amusement area is the famous Underwater Adventures, comprised of a
wave pool, which replicates the ocean's waves allowing folks to bodysurf
to their hearts' delight regardless of the weather.
The Mall Honoring Minneapolis' native son and one of America's favorite
illustrators and authors, Charles Schulz, is Camp Snoopy. Occupying the
core of the 4-floor mini-metropolis, "Camp Snoopy" is as fun-loving
as that pup himself. Camp Snoopy is America's largest indoor amusement
center covering 7 acres with rides galore.
